Twitter search API down at the time? It does nothing clever and relies entirely on twitter's built-in functionality. So prob. that. I searched on "twitter" today and got lots of results.
The way this works (and therefore its limitations are based on) is it asks Twitter for the first 'page' (100) of tweet results for whatever you enter in, and scan the tweets for #hashtags.
[edit] Oh yeah, you need javascript enabled, too. Apols to the noscript-ers out there

This fails to find anything for search phrases like "twitter" and "android". Bug?
